RA Lates: Summer Pleasure Garden

Description
  • What is it?

Tickets to an evening of magical, after-hours fun at the RA – exclusively for Time Out readers.

    When is it?

    Saturday 21st July.

    Why buy?

In a city full of cool museums and even cooler late events, the Royal Academy’s rank among the best. And we’re super-excited about their midsummer instalment, as Burlington House takes a turn towards the fantastical.

This Saturday-night late event will hark back to the days of Hanoverian London, when Georgian pleasure gardens were all the rage. These were magical spaces for art, music and entertainment – filled with musical concerts and masquerades among tree-lined avenues dotted with glowing lanterns. The RA will deliver their very own twenty-first-century take on these dreamish soirees of yesteryear – expect illuminations, live music, DJs, moonlit dancefloors, gin grottos (a personal favourite among the staff at Time Out), installations, creative activities, secret bars and a summer ball. And to top it all off, it's their 250th anniversary, and accordingly this is going to be their biggest ever RA Late.

And guess what? We’ve got a load of Time Out-only tickets, and early bird tickets have now sold out, so get booking pronto!
