Eleven years after it opened in 2000, the Agua Spa is still at the top of its game, delivering excellent treatments against a dreamy backdrop of swishing white curtains. On a recent visit, we sampled the Mother Nature Pregnancy Massage which involved lying on a warm water bed, being slathered in heavenly Aromatherapy Associates oils and being gently massaged all over from scalp to toes. Ultra-soothing. We can also recommend the Eve Lom Experience facial, hot stone massage and fabulous manicures using Rococo polishes.

The Agua spa is to beautiful to resist. We had no intentions of using the spa when staying at The Sanderson Hotel- which was wonderful in itself from the doorman to the cloud of a bed which they provide- but we stumbled upon it and were invited to use it as guests of the hotel. Immediately, the sense of calm, tranquility and joy take over. Staff were lovely, professional and polite. The noise level was so low almost non existent, which showed how respectful both staff and clients were to the ambiance. My sister went for a neck and back massage, she came out and by the look on her face I could tell she was rejuvenated and fully relaxed. Her therapist was experienced and thorough with the massage and gave recommendations and advice to ease stress on the muscles. We moved on to the sleep lounges which were possibly the one the highlights of our trip, alongside the female only steam. Overall, a beautiful, relaxing and well oiled spa which i would recommend to all.
