Time Out says

The end of the world feels a long time coming in Sebastian Michael's disjointed new comedy about two slackers, Gus and Talfryn, holed up together as they watch TV and wait for the meteor that will hit LA in seven days.

Lewis Goody and Ed Pinker endear as the bromantic pair ruminating about life, the universe and their legacy as the apocalypse nears but they're hampered by the script's strained quirkiness. While aiming for Stoppardian wit, it lands in A-Level philosophy.

The intercut scenes of vivacious newsreader Chrissie Craven (Josephine Kime) being hit on by a succession of randy TV presenters and talking heads also fall flat – a one-note joke with an unpleasant aftertaste that overpowers some funny digs at the media elsewhere.

The problem is that this is really several plays crammed into one. Throw in some dimension-jumping angelic observers – 'It's a Metaphysical Life', if you will – and you have a sporadically amusing show trying to be too many things, with parts that never gel into a satisfying whole.
