The long running CBBC kids’ show Operation Ouch! introduced us to twins Dr Chris and Dr Xand, who are both quite a lot more famous now than they were when the show started in 2013, which probably explains why there hasn’t been a new series for a while. But we’re due another one next year, and before that, a new festive live show for the duo.
As you might gather from the title, Operation Ouch: Quest for the Jurassic Fart! sees the duo get fairly off piste from their usual stomping ground of the human body and children’s hospitals. Instead it’s a larksome 80 minutes devoted to gross and amusing facts and experiments relating to the time of the dinosaurs, which frankly sounds like a lot more fun than interviewing little Timmy about his broken wrist, while clearly much of the appeal these days is simply from watching the celebrity siblings vibe off each other.
