'UGC London' information

What is 'UGC London'? Unfortunately, we can't tell you. Well actually, we can tell you a bit more than we could six weeks ago. On Monday June 10, 'UGC London' announced that director of the moment Jamie Lloyd will be taking the reigns of London's biggest secret. The busy director has recently placed 'Macbeth' and 'The Hothouse' under his belt and will be bringing 'The Commitments' to life later this year so with those creditials, it's bound to be a great show.

On Monday June 24, it was announced that Ann Yee will be setting things in motion as 'UGC London's choreographer and had this to say about joining the ranks '. It's a piece that, like the unfolding mystery of our launch, reflects an unfolding global reality. I look forward to seeing how audiences receive the piece and its entertaining and meaningful relevance to our world.'

We can't say much more other than the things you already know. It's a musical. It was a hit on Broadway. Time Out New York's theatre editor David Cote says: 'It was terrific, hilarious, great. One of the best shows of the year.' And it's making its UK premiere at Victoria's swish new St James Theatre. That's yer lot for now, but if you're willing to take a punt, Time Out will be exclusively selling advance tickets at almost half price (ie, £35.50), rising in cost by £3.50 a fortnight until the announcement of what the show is on September 2 2013. So go on! What have you possibly got to lose? (£35.50 is what).
