Kensington Palace's doors are once again open to the public, and the timing couldn't be more apt in this Jubilee year. Once home to Queen Victoria and the Princess of Wales, it will now be the residence of a new generation of royals. The rooms have been transformed into interactive experiences, showcasing work by contemporary installation artists alongside exhibits from the palace's collection.

The King's Gallery is the largest and longest of the state apartments at Kensington Palace and looks as it did when it was decorated for King George I in 1727. Its main use was for displaying pictures, but the large space also made an ideal exercise area.
