Time Out says

A deeply gothic opera whose name translates as ‘The Bloody Nun’. With a libretto based on Matthew Lewis’ ‘The Monk’, the work has been performed only a couple of times since it was written in 1854. You can expect supernatural beings, a family feud, mistaken identity, and an atmosphere described as ‘suitably chilling’. Sounds like a good (and cultured!) night out.
