The past year has been a momentous one for London: sit-ins, strikes, demonstrations, rioting and royalty. The year ahead promises much drama of its own with the mayoral elections in May and the Olympics in July. In the meantime here are some stand-out images from an unforgettable twelve months.
April 15. It started with a kiss… Hundreds gather to protest outside the John Snow, after a gay couple, James Bull and Jonathan Williams, share a kiss in the soho pub, and were asked to leave by a staff member who allegedly described their action as 'obscene'.
