Quirky events in London this December
Weird and wonderful stuff you should check out this month
Shun the mainstream, turn your back on the conventional, reject the pedestrian and hurtle headlong to the fringes of London culture. That's where all the cool stuff happens. Kew's annual, seasonal makeover features plenty of family-friendly attractions including Father Christmas's grotto in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, a vintage carousel on Kew Palace Lawn, seasonal face painting (you can transform yourself into Rudolph, an elf or even a Christmas pudding) at Climbers and Creepers and hands-on activity sessions in the Orangery restaurant, based on plants and trees associated with the festive season.
