As part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of the Queen's coronation, the Palace gardens are opened to all for three days of activities featuring some 200 Royal Warrant holders. These will be split into four areas – homes and gardens, food and drink, design and technology and styles, pursuits and pastimes – enabling visitors to wander at will and examine past and future technologies, sample a wide range of produce and products, see the best examples of interior design and landscape gardening, and of course buy everything from fashion goods and equestrian wares to homeware and food. Amongst it all, 30 children and teenagers from the National Youth Ballet will entertain visitors with a programme of contemporary ballet and dance, bringing to life some of the nation's best-loved characters as part of the festival experience, so don't be surprised to see Alice in Wonderland chasing a white rabbit or Ratty, Mole and Toad getting up to mischief.

The evening Coronation Gala, on Friday July 12 and Saturday July 13, is a celebration of music and dance from the past 60 years and will feature a range of British and Commonwealth performers.
