Want to enjoy your Pimm’s Spritz in the company of the well-heeled west London party set? Well, head to this very elegant Sloane Square bar and brasserie where the guys behind the bar really know their onions when it comes to mixology. So you’ll be in some very good hands.
Sure we all know that Pimm’s is the Great British summer drink and that Pimm’s O’Clock is totally a thing as soon as sunshine hits our faces but we have some very interesting news. There’s a new pour in town and we think it might just be your new favourite cocktail. Let us introduce you to the Pimm’s Spritz.
First up, it’s almost hilariously simple to make. All you do is fill a glass with ice, add three cucumber slices, pour on 50ml of Pimm’s and 75ml of lemonade, top it up with prosecco and then garnish with a sprig of mint and a slice of orange. See? Easy as one, two, my god that’s delicious.
Given it’s a Spritz it joins that iconic list of drinks that are great options for the Italian tradition of aperitivo, so it works pretty well with a plate of antipasti or whatever else tickles your culinary biscuits. But to be perfectly honest with you? Have it whenever. It’s really quite tasty.
And while sipping your new favourite cocktail in your garden on a long and balmy summer evening might sound like bliss, not everyone has a garden. And, to be quite frank, some people are just too lazy to even make something as simple as a Pimm’s Spritz. But of course that’s absolutely fine because here are some excellent London venues that will make one for you. And provide an outdoor spot for you to enjoy it in.
So, time to Spritz up your Pimm’s O’Clock then, maybe?
