Time Out says

Having shifted south of the river not so long ago, Matt's Gallery's keeps on moving about, though this home is meant be at least semi permanent from what we can gather. The gallery's impact on London's art scene is not to be underestimated. What started over 30 years ago in Robin Klassnik's studio has developed into an exemplary model of what a not-for-profit organisation can accomplish on little money but lots of enthusiasm, support and vision. Matt's (named after a dog wouldn't you know) has been transformed over the years by some of contemporary arts most significant artists; Richard Wilson adapted the fabric of the building on more than one occasion and created his slump oil installation 20:50 (1987) and Mike Nelson constructed his seminal work, Coral Reef in 2000. The dynamic exhibition schedule continues for a third decade.
