Architecture & Design Film Festival

This design-minded film festival comes to LA for the first time this year. Spanning five days, the fest will consist of an impressive program of 30 films all pertaining to architecture, urbanism and design—from Levitated Mass, about the massive boulder recently moved to LACMA, to If You Build It, about a radically innovative approach to teaching high school students architecture. If a certain topic tickles your fancy, many directors and producers will be on hand for Q&As so you can learn more. Or stick around for one of the free panels with architects and critics; topics will range from urban design to furniture design to restoring classic modern houses. Plus, LA art book purveyor Hennessey + Ingalls will host a pop-up bookshop. All in all, the perfect classy weekend for Angelenos. Check the website for a detailed schedule of events.
