Acclaimed director Jia Zhangke sheds a light on the recent violence plaguing China in 2013's uncompromising A Touch of Sin, made up of four intertwining stories. Each follows an oppressed "little guy" who gets pushed to a vengeful breaking point, with outlandish carnage resulting. The Cinefamily saw the importance of the work and didn't want it to slip into oblivion unnoticed (it's currently banned in China), so it'll be playing for a week at the Silent Movie Theatre.
