Time Out says

The Avalon nightclub is the setting for a rock 'n' roll Halloween Spooktacular and awards gala for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund, founded in memory of the world-renowned singer of Dio, Black Sabbath and Heaven & Hell. Eddie Trunk of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show will serve as special guest emcee. Awards named after songs written by Ronnie James Dio will be presented to distinguished honorees for their work in promoting the charty's cause (heads up: The King of Rock ‘n' Roll Award will go to the legendary guitarist for Black Sabbath and Heaven & Hell and recent cancer survivor, Tony Iommi).

A $200 general admission ticket gets you gourmet food and drinks until 11PM (after that the band goes on and it's no host) as well as performances by Cirque Berzerk and the Dio Disciples, in addition to the awards presentations, a costume contest and silent and live auctions. Higher-priced VIP-ticket packages are also available and earn you special reserved seating, plus food and drinks after 11PM and admission to the Bardot Club.

The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund is dedicated to cancer prevention, research and education, and has committed monies toward the research work of the T. J. Martell Foundation for Cancer, AIDS and Leukemia Research and the gastric cancer research unit of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where Ronnie was treated for gastric cancer during the last six months of his life, according to Wendy Dio, widow of the late singer and Fund President/Founder.

Check the Dio Fund website for more information regarding the Fund as well as tickets and sponsorships for the Gala.
