DineL.A. is going to look a bit different this year, but the citywide event’s warm-weather iteration, Summer Restaurant Week (September 1–18), is back with new outdoor dining, takeout options and even a few delivery deals. This is when some of L.A.’s best restaurants give us limited-time discounted menus and specials, so you can finally check out that spot you’ve been bookmarking, whether you feel like dining in or cuddling up with its food on your couch.

This season, we’re looking forward to 18 days of some of the city’s top-notch sushi, some of L.A.’s most gorgeous plating, some of the hottest new restaurants and some of the freshest seafood in town—all from prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus at low prices. Want to go big? Plenty of restaurants are running high-end tasting menus at a reduced price, while plenty more are offering supplements for the likes of caviar and truffle add-ons.

There are nearly 300 restaurants participating this time around, and we scoured the lineup for the best and most exciting deals to be found. If you’re looking for a particular spot not on this list, or you simply feel like perusing, you can find the full list of Summer Restaurant Week menus here.

Michael Mina’s classic and classy steakhouse within the Americana at Brand is offering an at-home menu that’s perfect for the times: all the flourish of a steakhouse dinner from the convenience and comfort of your couch. The $65 meal for two is takeout and delivery-only and includes mixed greens or caesar salad, plus sides of truffle mac and cheese and potato purée, then your choice of whole roast chicken or grilled salmon, and if you’d like to order a large-format steak for an additional cost, you can opt for a 32-ounce prime porterhouse (add $74) or a 32-ounce, double-cut bone-in rib eye (add $94). Supplements include everything from sauces to market sides to Alaskan king crab, so you can scale the meal to your heart’s content.

One of our beachiest, sunniest and most summer-friendly restaurants has come to play. In its dineL.A. debut, Malibu’s Broad Street Oyster Co. is having a lot of fun with both a $30 lunch menu and a $35 dinner menu that include a free Budweiser or soda, plus your choice of either a ceviche starter or some chowder. At lunch, the modern seafood shack gives you the option of lobster roll, a soft-shell–crab sandwich, or a fried shrimp po’ boy, while at dinner you can choose between a pound of clams, some California salmon, or a pound of steamed mussels—and you can do it up with oyster and caviar-and-chips supplements at either meal, and get it all for dine in or takeout.

We never need an excuse to eat Josiah Citrin’s cuisine, so let’s just say his dineL.A. menu makes it all the more appealing. The chef’s live-fire restaurant always includes some mouthwatering options, but during the event’s two-week run you can sample through much of it during Charcoal’s dine-in service and $45 five-course dinner menu. You’ll receive both the famous cabbage baked in embers and the smoky grilled chicken wings, plus a salad, then some prime, chimichurri-marinated sirloin and cedar-smoked hibiscus salmon, some grilled summer squash and crispy potatoes, and finish with a peach-and-blueberry tart with vanilla ice cream. What a sampler.

The Sherman Oaks institution is giving us not one but two dineL.A. menus and they’re both available for dine-in or takeout service. Serving hearty Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes since the ’50s, Casa Vega is a downright family run SFV icon and you can taste your way through the menu conveniently during dineL.A.: At lunch, a $20 two-course meal involves a house combo, a veggie burrito or a taco platter, as well as a dessert of either churros or flan, while at dinner, the $35 three-course menu includes a house margarita, plus the lunch entrée and dessert options, and either a tostada or some albondigas soup.

Not that there’s ever a terrible time for seafood, but summer is perfect for cool crab, oysters and lobster with a bright squirt of lemon on a hot day, so leave it to Michael Cimarusti and his dine-in dineL.A. offering—not to mention his new patio—to celebrate summer vibes. His $45 dinner menu nets you an appetizer such as grilled calamari or the beloved Connie and Ted’s chowder sampler, plus entrées like fish and chips, Portuguese fish stew, that excellent lobster roll (for an additional $5), or the grilled wild fish of the day. Don’t forget the included dessert: the always-craveable blondie or a farmers market panna cotta.

This London-meets-California brasserie puts U.K. classics on the table, and dineL.A. is no exception. Husband-and-wife team Matt and Marissa Hermer are offering a $45 three-course prix fixe for the event, with summery dishes like grilled branzino with lemon conserva; English-pea dip with sourdough; flat iron steak with peppercorn sauce; and desserts like sticky toffee pudding—all to be enjoyed for dine in on their prime patio.

Can’t decide? If you’re overwhelmed by dineL.A.’s nearly 300 options, the world-famous Italian market and food hall has you covered: Eataly’s got separate dine-in and delivery formats for the occassion, so you can dine in on its sunny rooftop terrace or get a prix-fixe meal brought to your door. Up on the roof at Terra, snag a $25 two-course lunch with choices like grilled peaches and burrata with grilled bread, rigatoni pomodoro, and eggplant-stuffed ravioli, while the $65 three-course dinner involves options like those you’d find at lunch, plus dishes like poached lobster or grilled whole branzino.

There’s also a new and more casual alfresco option, il Patio di Eataly, where $25 gets you an entrée and your choice of either an appetizer or dessert, and if you don’t feel like dining in at all, there’s the new delivery-only $25 menu will bring your choice of antipasti plus either a pizza or pasta dish to you via Postmates, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Caviar and Grubhub.

KALI just added a completely new patio setup to its space, and you can test it out with this dine-in three-course dinner for $55. Chef Kevin Meehan’s got charred avocado, uni spaghetti, local black cod, hanger steak, black barley risotto and more on the menu, and you’ll finish it all off with your choice of verbena panna cotta with strawberries and crumble, or meringue gelato with candied-yolk shavings.

Going vegan? One of L.A.’s best plant-based restaurants is offering dine-in, takeout and delivery, with two menus packed with three-course goodness. During the $30 lunch, start with an oyster mushroom taco appetizer, then move on to either a Nashville-style hot “chicken” sandwich or the Chinois on Beverly salad, and finish with butterscotch pudding featuring coconut whipped cream. At the $45 dinner you’ll start with vegan-ricotta gnudi, then choose between khao soi, the house plant-based burger, or some "sausage" pizza (and Nic’s just so happens to make some of our favorite vegan pizza in town). For dessert? That butterscotch pudding.

One of L.A.’s most historic food haunts is offering a fun and affordable option with choices from multiple vendors. The Original Farmers Market, founded in 1934, is getting in on the dineL.A. action with a $15 lunch menu that includes lunch and a drink from roughly 10 of its food stalls whether you’re taking it to-go or dine in, and some vendors even offer delivery; there’s a taco plate with agua fresca from Trejo’s Tacos, old-school diner fare from Du-Par’s, oysters or a salmon burger or steamed mussels from Roxy and Jo’s, a falafel or kabob or gyro plate with sides and pite from Moishe’s and more. At dinner, it’s an incredible steal: Find a $55 meal for two at Du-Par’s, Marmalade Café or Monsieur Marcel, or a $55 meal for four from Moishe’s. There will also be a $45 dinner menu from Sushi A Go Go, giving you plenty of options.

Downtown’s gorgeous and indoor-outdoor restaurant from Neal Fraser and Amy Knoll Fraser is giving us even more patio to take advantage of. Already offering its usual patio, Redbird just opened an additional “secret garden” space for dining in the back, and recently over the courtyard to sibling space, Vibiana. During dineL.A. you can dine in at any of the three alfresco areas with a $35 two-course weekend brunch menu featuring duck-confit chilaquiles and shrimp and grits, or with a three-course $55 dinner menu that involves prawns with ginger rice, ricotta cavatelli with heritage-pork sugo, and grilled short ribs with potato kimchi hash.

Same Same’s tremendous dineL.A. menu is back, and this summer’s $35 dinner is an absolute steal: three courses and any beer or non-alcoholic drink? Sign us up, especially considering the spread. This menu is takeout-only, and you’ll be starting with house-made beef jerky, fried tofu with sweet chili sauce, or a Thai apple salad, then proceeding to pineapple red curry curry with tofu or shrimp or some Bangkok street-style pad Thai, with either a beer or a soda included in the cost. Don’t forget the finale: coconut flan or tapioca pudding. This is the spicy-sweet menu dreams are made of.

Using dineL.A. as an excuse to head to the beach? This charming all-day café right along the Venice Boardwalk is the perfect place to stop, and its menu is available for dine-in on either of its gorgeous and distanced patios, as well as for pickup and local delivery. Whichever format you choose, the special $35 dinner menu includes fresh seafood, vegetarian-friendly items and vegan fare, and will give you a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert. Dishes include Santa Maria-style grilled mahi mahi; oak-grilled tri-tip steak; vegan artichoke dip; nori-crusted ahi; tomatoes with burrata; and grilled peaches with salted vanilla ice cream and honeycomb crunch. Grab a few à la carte frozen cocktails while you’re at it to really complete the summer vibe.

One of L.A.’s most romantic and scenic restaurants is keeping the romance going, even if you’re getting your meal to-go: Yamashiro’s dineL.A. $55 three-course dinner menu is available for dine-in, takeout and delivery, and includes a glass of champagne. The Japanese-leaning meal also includes starters such as crab cakes or “sushi pizza” with truffle cream and entrées such as braised wagyu short rib; matcha soba noodles with jumbo shrimp; and Chilean sea bass with champagne miso sauce. Dessert leave you with a choice of yuzu panna cotta or a double fudge brownie with chocolate ice cream. Decisions, decisions.
