A high-end, local sandwich shop on a busy block near the Beverly Center, Soda Pop's has a humongous menu, with hot and cold sandwich options in addition to salads. Despite the almost intimidating selection, each sandwich is spectacularly designed and crafted; the breads are fresh and serve as a wonderful bookend for the high-end ingredients. The quality of the food, served in a high-rent neighborhood, means that the prices are bit steep, but the cost is balanced out by the thoughtful, complimentary side options, like homemade chips, soup or a salad. Try the chicken pesto—a perfect rendition of a classic— or one of the daily specials.

Phenomenal sandwiches with the added novelty of oodles of novelty sodas!  Soda Pop's was founded by an East Coast native looking to duplicate the hearty sandwiches of his hometown, so filling and generous is the name of the game.  While it's not exactly cheap (a soda + sandwich will run you in the 12-15 range), you're paying for great quality. For instance--the chicken in the chicken pesto is marinated overnight.  Homemade potato chips are on of the options for the side included with your sandwich.  The BELTA is truly magnificent.  I only wish they had later hours so I could go on weeknights pre or post work drinks!

Pro-tip: there's free lot parking!  Be on the lookout for the mattress shop sign on La Cienega--just below it nearby is a tiny alley that is the entrance to that strip mall's back parking lot.

Terrific little sandwich shop on La Cienega. I've been several times and have left satisfied after each visit. The sandwiches are creative and very filling (though not terribly for the most part). They've pretty much got something for every taste - pulled pork, buffalo chicken, pizza sandwiches, and much much more. Also, they serve homemade chips with each sandwich that are phenomenal - usually they have a regular salt & pepper flavor + something a bit special as well like sour cream and onion. Also, Soda Pop's has a large soda selection just as you would hope - a wide range of colas, root beers, and other fun things . It's nothing fancy but it is a great local spot to grab a tasty filling sandwich and a cold unique soda.
