You may have heard, the 405 is closing again this weekend. Wasn't carmageddon I so uneventful? Wouldn't you like to actually do something different this time around? Enter: Artmageddon, a handy little map—devised by LA art-industry folks—highlighting the arts and culture events happening near you this weekend. The idea is to walk, bike or Metro to art near you, in honor of the 405's weekend off. Some of the map entries hardly qualify as artistic (we're looking at you, Bloomingdale's trunk show), but for the most part there's a ton of interesting events to check out: From chupacabra mask-making for kids at the Fowler Museum to a screning of Vertigo at the Egyptian.
