Pedal your way from the Westside to Claremont and back—that's 124 miles—as Greg Laemmle, president of the eponymous family-run theater group, cycles between all seven locations—again, that's 124 miles. If somehow you haven't been frightened off yet, the trip kicks off at 6am at the Royal Theatre—you can find the full schedule and registration info here—and circles back more than 12 hours later, though you can hop on or off the circuit at any time. The epic bike ride centers around a ribbon cutting ceremony for new on-street bike parking in front of the NoHo 7. In case you glossed over that 124-mile mention, this is for experienced riders only: You'll need to be able to pedal your way over the Sepulveda Pass and not faint at the idea of going all the way to Claremont. There'll be free refreshments at each theater to ease the journey, and the afternoon leg from NoHo to Encinco is family-friendly. Of course, this is a movie theater chain we're talking about, so those more inclined to sit than pedal can RSVP for a free, bike-themed screening of Breaking Away at the Claremont 5 or Pee-wee's Big Adventure at the NoHo 7.
