Time Out says

In the pantheon of natural phenomenona capable of shaking we Angelenos from our reliable tranquility, none are as mysterious as the Santa Ana winds. Resident authors and musicians have immortalized the dry winds' mercurial impact, as have the wildfires they fan and trees they down each fall. Zócalo Public Square heads to Grand Park to straighten out just how the winds work and whether or not they really put us on edge with a diverse panel of experts—White Oleander author Janet Fitch, UCLA meteorologist Robert Fovell and LA County Fire Captain Drew Smith.
