2016 Anne Braden Institute For Social Justice Research Paper Awards says
The Univeristy of Louisville's Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research is sponsoring its 9th annual Social Justice Research Paper Awards. There is a $300 award for the best graduate essay, and $100 award for each of the two best undergraduate essays. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Deadling to submit papers: Thursday, April 28th @ 4:00 pm to Ekstrom Library, room 258.
Winning papers will be announced Tuesday, May 10th 2016.

Requirements for the paper include:
1) Engage one or more social justice topics. Preference given to papers engaging race, class, gender, sexuality, religion, peace/conflict, environmentalism, disability, and/or age. Papers do NOT have to be about Anne Braden.
2) Undergraduates must use at least 1 source from Braden Institute reading room and/or Braden Papers in University Archives. (You can look for sources on worldcat or stop in and see us in Ekstrom 258 for help)
3) Graduate students should use books and paper collection if releveant to research topic.
4) Paper must be 8-25 pages in length, not including reference pages.
