Alice's Restaurant 50th Anniversary Tour

Thursday, February 25, 7:30 p.m.

Brown Theatre

315 W. Broadway, Louisville 40202

American Folk singer Arlo Guthrie, son of Woody Guthrie, is best known for his song "Alice's Restaurant Massacree", an 18-minute monologue, and his hit version of "The City of New Orleans." The oldest son of folk pioneer Woody Guthrie, he was just 13 when he played his first public show.

Guthrie, who performed at the original Woodstock Festival, became an icon of the 1960s counterculture generation. His famous father's legacy no doubt helped him, but Arlo quickly proved his own talent as he performed with a slew of famous musicians, including Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Doc Watson and Bill Monroe.

Tickets start at $39.50, reserved seating, fees apply. Standard tickets are available online, by phone (502.584.7777), and at The Kentucky Center box office.
