An eight-week youth visual art ‘learn and earn’ program, Studio 2000, concludes with an art sale and exhibit from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, at the Kentucky Center For Performing Arts Mail Lobby, 501 West Main Street.

The art sale will feature student works represented in clay, mixed media and fiber, with all proceeds from the sale going to support Studio 2000. Payment by cash and checks only, and a reception is also planned for the event.
Eighteen students, ages 14 to 18, participated in Studio 2000, learning from and working with professional artists Ehren Reed (fiber), Sunny Ra (Mixed Media) and JD Schall (clay). Students received $500 at the completion of the program.

The program is offered at the Shawnee Art and Cultural Center, 607 S. 37th Street, and is supported by the Louisville Visual Art Association.
