Brad Leftwich is the gold standard of old-time fiddling and carries forth the traditions of his own mentors, notably Tommy Jarrell and Melvin Wine. Backing him up on guitar, banjo and bass are Claudio Buchwald, Sam Bartlett and Abby Ladin. The Monks have been playing dances together for 20 years, crossing fluidly back and forth between the current square dance revival and the modern contra dance explosion.

In addition to being a musician, Liam Kelly is also an energetic square dance caller. Circle dances, four-couple squares, the Virginia Reel—the dances are family-friendly, easy to learn, and always a good time. Whether you’re having a small house party or a massive wedding reception, Old Man Kelly has what it takes to get your people moving!

All dances TAUGHT. No experience necessary. No one is required to dance. It is a SOCIAL event. Predominantly simple and traditional southern figures. No dress code, No partner needed. Anyone can dance with ANYONE regardless of gender.

Wanna JAM? Harry Bickel's old time music jam is in the bar, beginning at 7pm. Bring your instrument to participate in the all level jam! No cover if you're just going to jam, but please enter through Danny Mac's main door.
