Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. These are areas of the body not typically exercised in a more active style of asana practice.

Suitable for all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles.

What to expect:
A calm relaxing practice incorporating breath work. Yin poses are typically held for 3-5 minutes at a time. Expect to unwind, let go and set your intention for the upcoming week.

Jen McVeigh-Davis, LCSW, CYT

Jen graduated from James Madison University and obtained a MSSW from University of Louisville where she did her graduate thesis on yoga as a treatment for depression and anxiety. Jen a certified yoga instructor at the 200-hour level and has additional certification and training in Yin Yoga. She is also an Usui Reiki master and a mindfulness based therapist in private practice.
