Time Out says

Northern Ballet presents a re-imagining of the iconic novel by George Orwell, created by the guest choreographer and former Royal Ballet dancer Jonathan Watkins

A daring piece from the narrative-dance led company, based on George Orwell's classic masterpiece of the same name, '1984' seeks to change the way you see ballet.

If you don;t know the story then you've missed out on one of the world's greatest works of literature, as timely as ever, as Winston SMith lives in a world evety action is controlled, language is in a state of constant reduction and the thought police monitor everything about you. But then he falles in love...

Created by guest choreographer and former Royal Ballet dancer Jonathan dancer Jonathan Watkins, the performance also features a brand new score from Tony nominated composer Alex Baranowski, played live by Northern Ballet Sinfonia.
