Femi Kuti and the Positive Force

Olufela Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti is known better as Femi Kuti - the eldest son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. But despite such strong familial connections he's also earnt his stripes as a charismatic, innovative musician in his own right.

Femi formed his own band, The Positive Force, back in the mid 80s, and since then they have released numerous critically acclaimed albums and have collaborated with everyone from Common and Mos Def to Red Hot Chili Pepper's and Jane's Addiction.

This July, together they take to the stage at Band on the Wall for a gig that most definitely WILL sell out. If you want in on the party you'll have to snap up tickets fast.
