Time Out says

Collingwood Yards is getting a nightly glow up as part of Midsumma

Over four nights, nearly 20 queer artists and allies are transforming Collingwood Yards creative precinct with site-responsive projection art, performance, music, dance.

A Strange Space is a free, open-air exhibition curated by Edwina Bartlem and Jacob Tolo from the Centre for Projection Art (the team behind Gertrude Street Projection Festival). The exhibition uses projection art to explore exactly what the name suggests – the concept of a strange space and the forms and ideas that such a theme might generate.

Artists involved with A Strange Space include Megan Beckwith, Alison Bennett, Jane Crappsley, Wesley Dowling, Jenna Eriksen, KP Finley, Susan Maco Forrester, Jonathan Homsey, Eric Jong, Susannah Langley, Drew Pettifer, Leisa Prowd, Queertech.io, Melinda Smith, Scotty So, Van Sowerwine and Isobel Knowles, Yandell Walton and Wendy Yu.

The exhibition launches April 22 and runs nightly from 6pm to midnight until April 25. It’s free to attend but you need to register.
