Time Out says

Stephanie Lake is recruiting ordinary Melburnians for a (physically distanced) mass dance event

One of Melbourne Fringe's most ambitious works is Multiply, when choreographer Stephanie Lake will gather 400 people together for a participatory dance work, no experience necessary.

You might look at 400 and balk; a fair reaction following months of only being able to meet in groups of two. However, organisers are confident that they will be allowed to run by the November 28 date and have a full Covid-safe plan to proceed (some measures include participants being masked up and spaced two metres apart). Stage shy? No worries, you won’t be performing to an audience. Instead, the work will be captured via drone and turned into a film for posterity. And even if the performance can’t go ahead this spring, the team is dedicated to making it happen in March 2021.

You can register your interest to participate now.
