Time Out says

See Damon Gameau’s environmental doco for free at Mercedes me

In 2014, actor and filmmaker Damon Gameau hit headlines with That Sugar Film – a Morgan Spurlock-style doco examining the effects of a high sugar diet on the human body. Gameau has been hard at work since then tackling a new subject – namely the environment and climate change.

In Gameau’s new film 2040, the filmmaker sets out to see what our planet could look like in 2040 (only 20 years from now) if we all wholeheartedly embraced existing solutions to help the Earth. The film was released in April this year and has powered through box-office records to become one of the five all-time highest grossing Australian documentaries. And you can see it for free this October at Mercedes me.

The 2040 film screening is part of Mercedes me’s Know the Future talk series, a collection of events exploring the future through topics like mobility, living, trends and employment. Learn about everything from sustainable living to automation in the workplace alongside industry experts and likeminded guests.

In addition to the expert talks, there are a number of related experiences to try at Mercedes me. From October 7 to 23, head in store during the day to discover the new Mercedes-Benz EQC – Mercedes’ first completely electric vehicle. During the Discover the Future period, the daily menu at Mercedes Me will also feature future-inspired dishes created by St Ali

See 2040 for yourself at 6.30pm on Tuesday, October 15. Entry is free but you must register online to secure your spot.
