Melbourne International Film Festival – Time Out's highlights

There's nothing to be MIFF'd about at Australia's largest film festival

Whether you're in it for the premieres, the celebrity spotting or the indies that'll likely never see a big screen in this country again, Melbourne International Film Festival has you covered. In 2016, it will run for two and a half weeks, from July 28 through to August 14. The festival's been going strong since 1952, and with a range of classic cinema on offer, as well as new movies, that history is well and truly being honoured. Here's what to see at MIFF this year, no matter your taste.
