Time Out says

This historical refuge for seafarers from all over the globe is one of Melbourne's lesser-known historic gems

You don't have to look far to find a slice of history in the CBD. We're surrounded by pubs built in the 1850s where you can sip a frothy within the same four walls as colonial changemakers and architectural beauties that have been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. One such institution that often flies under the radar is the Mission to Seafarers-Victoria (MtSV), which has operated from its heritage-listed building on Flinders Street in Melbourne's Docklands since 1917.

The Mission to Seafarers organisation has been running for more than 150 years now, having been set up in the UK to assist seamen facing difficulties. Today, the historical site here in Melbourne is used to host a variety of events and functions including a pirate-themed cabaret experienceCeltic Festival and Melbourne Food and Wine Festival events.

Open from noon daily to the public and equipped with a fully licensed bar, visitors are encouraged to drop by for a self-guided tour. Peek inside all of its nooks and crannies, discover the hidden cottage garden and meander through the enchanting Spanish-style courtyard.
