They played Monterey. They played Woodstock. Now these rock’n’roll legends are playing Bluesfest and a full run of sideshows

[Sponsored] Few acts still around today can claim to have played at the iconic Woodstock Music & Art Fair in August 1969 alongside Hendrix, the Who, Joan Baez, the Band, Creedence and the rest.

Canned Heat, who also played the seminal 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, have been a global phenomenon for 40 years due with hits such as ‘On the Road Again’, ‘Let’s Work Together’ and ‘Going Up the Country’. Their modern electric blues, rock and boogie has earned them a place in the history books and influenced guitarists and bands during the past four decades. Despite losing two founding members – and then later, long-time guitarist Henry Vestine in 1997 – Canned Heat has survived under the leadership of Fito de la Parra since the late 1970s, anchored throughout by drummer/bandleader Adolfo ‘Fito’ de la Parra (a member since 1967).

Bluesfest Touring is bringing this legendary act to Australia to share their unique blend of roadhouse electric blues, rock and boogie.
