Set in the Kings Domain Gardens, Sidney Myer Music Bowl is a popular summertime venue that hosts everything from Piknic Électronik to Carols by Candlelight, as well as free summertime concerts. The centrepiece of the gardens is a live music hub for some of Melbourne's best summer events, and has featured headline gigs from some of the world's biggest music acts.
Over 2,000 seats are available under the sweeping canopy, but the vast grass lawn leading down to the main amphitheatre can extend that capacity to over 10,000 punters. As Melbourne's largest outdoor performance space, it has been a warm weather mainstay since 1959.
