We all deserve a bit of a (seated) boogie after the cold dark winter that was 2020. Thankfully the MSO is bringing The Bamboos to cheer us all up for two nights only this March. The soul and funk band will be bringing their hits and bombastic energy to Hamer Hall with a little extra oomph added by backing from the incomparable chops of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra musicians.
The Bamboos have been delighting Australian audiences for over 20 years. They have nine studio albums and countless international tours and festival gigs under their belt. And their sound is undoubtedly infectious and positive, with soulful vocals, funky hooks and a pop sensibility that makes their songs utterly replayable (Take this, for example).
This ultra-special concert is part of MSO's whopper 2021 program. The collaborative performance with the orchestra is bound to be a one-of-a-kind treat for your ears.
Catch The Bamboos with the MSO performances on March 12 and 13 at 7.30pm at Hamer Hall. Book your tickets online here or call the box office to secure your spot. All shows adhere to Covid-safe protocols so be sure to bring your mask and lean in to the concert's good vibes from your seat.
