Time Out says

The weekly livestream serial is back to celebrate Australia’s emerging musicians

Back in May, the State of Music launched as a way for Victorians to stay connected to musicians as we all hunkered down at home. Pertinently, the series of streamed gigs is returning this August as we all are, collectively, lockdown again. But this time there's a slight tweak to the program.

The State of Music – Introducing is a streaming series created once again from a partnership between the Victorian government and the Mushroom Group. For lockdown round two, however, the State of Music will be shining the spotlight on Victoria's brightest new musicians.

The weekly episodes will feature three established musicians who will each introduce an up-and-coming star to play one original song, and one cover. The next episode airs Friday, September 18 and features the likes of Matt Corby (introducing Ed Moon), Tones and I (introducing Akosia) and Ruel (introducing Jaydean).

Fans can tune in via the Victoria Together Facebook page.
