Time Out says

Can you fall in love with a complete stranger?

Don't know if you've heard, but a magical set of 36 questions can make people fall in love. The questions were developed by psychologist Arthur Aron and popularised by one of The New York Times's most popular stories of all time. The questions increase in intimacy, and the last task is to stare into one another's eyes for four minutes.

You can find out for yourself if it works at a special Valentine's Day singles' event. You have to register for the event in advance, and you'll be matched with someone. You both answer the 36 questions, and if psychology has anything to say about it, you'll fall in love.

Game? Head over to the website to register, and when your grandkids ask how you met, you can say, "Well, funny story..."
