Set in an American Catholic boarding school, Bare tells the story of an adolescent romance – and an adolescent tragedy.
High school seniors Peter (Adam Di Martino) and Jason (Finn Alexander) are in love, but they are keeping their relationship a secret from their peers, teachers and parents. No points for guessing whether their love stays hidden, and therein of course lies much of the drama. Jason is also being pursued by the beautiful Ivy (Hannah McInerney), and is torn between his heart and his reputation.
The musical is full of sex, drugs and yes, rock 'n' roll, with the relationship between the teenagers and their religion at the forefront of it all.
Premiering off Broadway in 2004, Bare is being staged professionally for the first time in this Chapel Off Chapel production. It will run until April 15.
