Long the provenance of law enforcement, the lie detector is front and centre at this somewhat confronting Fringe show.
Art collective Counterpilot have devised a show based on the polygraph, and it promises to be more than a little uncomfortable. The concept of the show is this: audience members are strapped into a lie detector and asked questions. You can try to bluff, but the machine might give you away. And your fellow Fringe goers will be there to keep you honest.
There are 12 people in each audience, so the energy is unpredictable. Anything could happen when a dozen strangers share their most intimate secrets.
The show made a splash at Adelaide Fringe, where it was named Best Film, Digital and Interactive Work. So will you strap in?
