This special edition of the Night Market will see the evening feast transformed with a kaleidoscope of queer entertainment.
As part of the Midsumma Festival program, Night Market Pride will host a cavalcade of LGBTQIA+ performers, including Karen from Finance, Goddess Grooves, Leather Lungs, Yummy, Marzi Panne, Queen Beaver and Dean Arcuri. Performers will take over three main stages, delivering a slice of the festival program to the Queen Victoria Market, and best of all, for free. You'll also get to see the Miss Gay and Miss Trans-Sexual Australia Pageant and partake in a giant DIY Rainbow workshop. There will be a DJ set all night long to ensure you have a fabulous soundtrack to go with your snacks, and special roving performers throughout the area.
As always the Market's snack game will be on point with Melbourne's largest array of global street food stalls on show. You can chow down on prawn rolls from George the Fishmonger, paella from Taste of Spain, pork ribs from Southside Smokers, soft shell crab burgers from Pickett’s Deli, mini pancake sandwiches from Butterlake Pancakes, modern souvlaki from the Black Sheep, Chinese street skewers from Flame Skewers and more.
