Do yourself one better than a Foster’s and Four’N Twenty at this dog-friendly festival of pies and beer

There’s nothing more Australian than a hot pie and a cold beer. And now you can share the joy with your four-legged best friend at the inaugural Tinny Pie Party, a dog-friendly celebration of the Tradie-snack-of-choice, presented by Sydney-based craft brewers Young Henrys and local crust-cutters The Pie Shop.

In true Brunswick style, it’s an all-inclusive event. For the meat eaters there’s the Henry, a hearty beef and ale pie. For the vegos, the Kevin is stuffed with green beans, artichoke, tomato and feta. And of course, there’s a pud for your pug - the Little Rex is made with a dog (and human) friendly mix of kangaroo and veg. Heck, even snooty types are catered for, via natural oysters with a Young Henry’s Bloody Mary dressing.

And the prices are just as friendly - $7 for a pie, $5 for a tinnie, $10 for le deux.

The aptly-named DJ Fat Dog will be providing the soundtrack for the day’s festivities, which include a doggie obstacle course, “deconstruct a pie into plate art” competition and an owner-dog-look-a-like photo contest.
