National Civil Rights Museum says
Each year the NCRM commemorates the tragic event that occurred on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel at 6:01 p.m. That event traditionally includes a choir, a keynote speaker, a presentation by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and a ceremonial hanging of the wreath the event ends as close to 6:01 p.m. as possible. This year, additions will be made as a part of the kickoff. There will be a breakfast at Mississippi Blvd. Chrsitian Church inviting all Faith and communty leaders to attend followed by a rally at noon. At the Museum commemoration beginning at 3:15, guests will be asked to sign a pledge for peace and action to achieve those things Dr. King identified in his final narrative.

Join the National Civil Rights Museum in remembering the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination with a yearlong commemoration from April 4, 2017 to April 4, 2018. #MLK50
