J Train Blues Band at the Center for Southern Folklore, Saturday April 16th. Come on down to the center to hear some great blues and eat some good food. Show starts at 8 and we'll be rockin' til 11. Bring your friends to this family friendly show!

J Train Blues Band consists of Memphis musicians Jimmy Segerson, Joe Gaston and Jerry Patterson; Segerson and Gaston have worked together since the 1970s when they were both members of the legendary Memphis blues-heavy rock band Moloch. In the late 1990s Jimmy and Joe performed as part of the Saturday night house band for the Center for Southern Folklore along with Fred Ford, Mose Vinson, and L.T. Lewis. Jerry is listed on the website Great Rock Drummers of the 70s and is known for having supplied the funky backbeat for Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs.Saxophonist Stephen Wachtel rounds out this band that provides awesome Memphis rhythms!
