Learn about the possibilities of social innovation in Memphis at this free speaker event, hosted by High Ground and EPIcenter, and be part of a conversation on the fresh thinking that is pushing communities forward. Hear from David Tarver, an expert in urban entrepreneurship, on how those businesses are different from traditional views of entrepreneurship and how entrepreneurs in Memphis can be social innovators, approaching civic problems in the same way they tackle a business obstacle.

About the Speaker
David Tarver is an entrepreneur and urban entrepreneurship expert who is currently lecturing in the University of Michigan College of Engineering Center for Entrepreneurship (U-M CFE), investing in ground-breaking startup companies, advising and supporting entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship programs, and speaking to various groups about entrepreneurship and business innovation. Tarver also serves as president of the Urban Entrepreneurship Initiative (UEI) Inc., an organization he founded in 2014. UEI empowers entrepreneurs to produce profitable business solutions to urban problems.
