The Cavemen W/ Ugly Girls, Neat, & W Arm says
Lafayette trio, The Cavemen, have been flirting with crowds for six years and have as much a sense of charm as house they inhabit. It is a drafty, friend-shared rental chock full of exotic instruments, tape decks, craft art, and chipped coffee mugs: the furnace in which their upbeat noise pop music is forged.

Sometime during 2013, four young dudes loitering in a sewer got tired of hearing endless whining from the world above and decided to crawl out of a manhole in the center of downtown Lafayette to see what all the fuss was about. The town was in dissaray. Bars littered the streets with dissatisfied concert goers who had had quite enough of zydeco, cockrock, and metalcore. "We want dad rock," screamed the masses, "and dad rock with some spice. And we want it now." So the four young slackers said, "Okay dudes. We'll give you dad rock. And we'll add some spice. But - we certainly don't want to be your dads. And we'll need a cigarette first." Five and a half minutes later, NEAT was formed.
