Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

It’s evident what type of food you’re about to dig into upon walking into Skorpios, past blue and white tables straight out of a Mykonos postcard. Greek is what’s for dinner, lunch and (on Sundays) brunch at this Midtown restaurant. Don’t expect a ton of napkin-throwing, plate-smashing hijinks. There is a low-key DJ who might bust out “Zorba's Dance” every now and then but, for the most part, the food commands the attention and solid dishes rely on simple presentation rather than quick flare. Expect classics from the sea (grilled octopus, branzino, Langoustines) and land. There’s plenty of lamb, of course, both braised and sprinkled atop hummus. The chef, Erhan Ozkaya, earned his stripes over at the nearby Greek hotspot Mandolin. The same tried-and-true commitment to Greek fare that earned him praise at his old bistro is on full display at his new home in the Midtown Mall.
