“A Growing Transparency”

Light, sound and nature collide at Deering Estate’s newest exhibit, “A Growing Transparency.” For one night only, the outdoor installation combines projected imagery and an immersive sound bath as a way to explore our relationship to the natural environment. Geometric figures by Spanish artist Javier Riera will be projected onto the Deering Estate’s lush landscape, illuminating mangroves and palm trees while instrumental tunes by Josh Peck play throughout. The installation’s creative director, Barbara Fernandez, coordinated an evening that packs in sensory experiences with the beauty and calming effects of the living world. Folks are invited to bring a blanket to lie on their drink of choice to kick back and relax with.
