Art at the Park

The Shops at Merrick Park makes sure your trip to the mall includes some culture. This month, the outdoor shopping center celebrates Hispanic heritage with a live painting series, featuring notable Latinx artists from the local community. It kicked off on September 18 with Alejandra Linares and continues with Alejandra Gotera, Ivan Roque and Reinier Gamboa, who will take over the lower garden level to create an all-new original piece before everyone’s eyes. The finished works will be gifted to a local charity to be auctioned off at a later date.
