Florida Grand Opera’s productions are rarely less than wildly dramatic—it’s opera, after all. But this season the melodrama is served with sides of supernatural spook and slasher-film spectacle. Season opener Lucia di Lammermoor, by Gaetano Donizetti, is haunted by Gothic castles and spectral figures, as it chronicles an exploited Scottish girl’s descent into madness.
