Time Out says

One of the buzziest plays of the 2019 Broadway season, Lucas Hnath’s Hillary and Clinton is set a thousand political years ago, i.e., the 2008 Democratic presidential primary in New Hampshire, when an eager candidate not dissimilar to Hillary Clinton is in desperate need of a win. Hnath’s play eschews caricature for a stylized commentary on, among other things, gender double standards in politics.
